WATER: WEALTH IN LIQUID FORM
I had a chance to swim in my first waterfall yesterday in Costa Rica! It was both magical and slippery! I fell right on my butt once I got under the flowing water. The rocks were filled with rich green moss.
BEHIND THE SCENES
This is me trying to look cool after my fall, but feeling more like an asshole. :)
Truth: I almost did not include this picture because I did not like the way my stomach looked. I put on a little weight preparing for this trip. Stress eating is my jam.
However, I remembered I used to be 235 pounds and unable to get out of bed. So I decided I could give a crap out a little belly flab and know I will release the weight while on my adventures here in Costa Rica.
Fun fact...I LOVE to walk and hike so this weight will come of easy, breezy...blissful. And if it doesn't, I will use hypnotherapy.
WATER IS A CONNECTION TO OUR SUBCONSCIOUS MINDS
I use water A LOT in my hypnotherapy sessions because it represents the subconscious mind and is great for clearing and cleansing away the past, pain and toxins. Thankfully when my clients are under the waterfall in hypnosis, their butt and body are safe from harm!
Today, I am posting about my personal experience with the water and how I used the power of the water to begin to shift from debt to abundance.
Not interested in my personal journey. I got you! Scroll to the bottom of this blog to get information on the waterfalls and their location.
PLAYING WITH INTENTION
After realizing how slippery the rocks were under the waterfall, I began swimming and playing with Kafu. She is an amazing dog my hosts rescued and will be one of my companions for the next several months.
While I was swimming, my friend Erin told me that she and her boyfriend use the waterfall to manifest things they desire in their life. Erin’s life has radically shifted for the better since moving to Costa Rica. Her happiness has expanded beyond measure.
DITCHING MY DEBT AND GIVING IT TO THE WATER
I decided I was going to take advantage of the opportunity to manifest. My mind went to the debt that I have with student loans, tax payments and credit card. YUCK. It just needs to GO! I am so over owing people.
Most of my debt came from the “old Natalie”. She is gone, but her debt still haunts me. Can you relate to that? Time to reset and create something new for future Natalie.
I wasted zero time and stood up and claimed what I wanted. I raised my arms and shouted “I choose to be debt free and live a life rich in experience!”
I claimed the shit out of that statement. Feeling my body tingle, I was happy with the intention I made and began to swim and play with Kafu again. She is insane in the water. Loves it more than any dog I have ever seen and is fearless.
A FAMILY OF MONKEY’S STOPPED BY TO SAY HI
After leaving the water, we were greeted by a family of monkeys playing in the trees. They were too far away to capture on film or photo. I kept trying to take photos them and Erin kindly encouraged me to just watch them and enjoy the moment. Wise woman that Erin. Sometimes the photographer in my gets carried away!
SOMETHING LOST IS SOMETHING GAINED
As we walked back to the car, I noticed that the charm on my necklace was gone. I was SO bummed. It had been a gift from one of my dearest friends, Janell Erickson. She gave me right before I left for my trip.
Janell and my other friend Victoria Tonazzi Clarke were super smart and both gave me gifts before I left.
Why? They wanted their energy in Costa Rica with me. Both have a desire to do an extended stay here too. Giving someone a gift to take with them is a great way to manifest your own trip. Victoria gave me a book by Marianne Williams. Who I WILL be voting for if she sticks to her run for President of the USA.
Janell gave me two necklaces and a purse. The necklace I was wearing was an owl with a stone in it. I immediately expressed my sadness to Erin and her boyfriend Henry for losing the charm so soon after receiving it.
My hosts both helped me reframe my sadness right away. It was explained to me that the waterfall took my charm as an exchange of energy. The water and land needed something from me to help me manifest my intention.
I was thrilled to hear this and it helped me release my guilt over losing the charm. Instead of feeling sad and guilty for losing a gift I was given, I quickly reached out to Janell and let her know that her essence and energy was now at the bottom of a beautiful waterfall in Costa Rica and would remain there forever and ever and ever! Even more exciting is that the intention tied to the charm is to be debt free, which is a mutual goal for both of us.
Janell happily informed me that owls represented good fortune. WHAT? People, you can’t make this shit up! She was so stoked that the charm was in the water and I plan on taking her there someday as a treat!
THE FUTURE LOOKS BLISSFUL
I am going to do a little future pacing here. Let’s fast forward a few years. Janell and I are chilling at the base of the waterfall wealthy beyond measure in health and happiness. Rich in experience, we will be living the life of bliss we both dream of. And laughing about the day I fell on my ass and lost her charm.
A BIG THANKS TO THE WATER AND MY HOSTS
Thanks to the water and to my tour guides yesterday. Costa Rica, we have only just begun what I hope to be a beautiful romance with each other.
VIENTO FRESCO WATERFALLS
The waterfall and pictures you see are from Viento Fresco Waterfalls. This land is amazing and so beautiful it is challenging to describe.
It is owned by an entire family of native Costa Ricans and I happen to be staying with one of the family members. Win win!
I was told that Costa Rica has been very dry lately. Erin told me that it is usually much more green. I hope to go back and take more photos once rain season starts in a month.
Because my host has access to the land, I was able to bypass the fee and check in, but I have linked their website below.
There are many ways to view the land. You can hike back by yourself or take a guided tour. They even have horses you can rent if you like to ride and want really get a big adventure in.
FIVE WATERFALLS AND LOTS TO SEE
There are 5 waterfall you can visit. You will be walking down stairs to get to them and it is a pretty easy hike. I only saw 2 yesterday because we were actually there to visit Henry’s family.
COSTA RICAN CHARM
By the way, Costa Ricans are very gracious and welcoming. I got a kiss on the check from every family member and was treated like royalty! The views this family has from their home is to die for.
THE DRIVE TO VIENTO FRESCO WATERFALLS
The drive to the waterfalls is amazing. If you want to fill up with some fresh water that tastes like silk and is packed full of the earth's healing energy, be sure to look for this bucket and the water pouring from the side of the mountain. Henry and his family have been drinking it for years!
ROLLING HILLS AND COWS GALORE
On the drive in you will see rolling hills with plenty of cows and goats grazing on fresh grass. Not something you see in the United States. I was told it is typically much greener, but they have had a dry season this year.
WHAT TO WEAR ON YOUR WATERFALL TRIP
If you plan on hiking back, I recommend sneakers. Erin had on flip flops and had to go a little slower. Both are doable.
The roads are unpaved and you will be walking on rocks to get to the entry points. Once you begin to descend down, you will be on stairs that are built into the land.
Be sure to wear your swimsuit, or bring it with so you can enjoy the water! Erin said many people go naked. Costa Rica is not as uptight as the USA so you will not be taken away in handcuffs!
VIEWS AND FOOD
This land is rich and has lots of birds, monkeys and other wildlife for you to enjoy. If someone in your party has physical limitations, they could drive with and enjoy the view. They do have tables up top for people to sit and enjoy the view.
There is little restaurant where you pay for entrance and you can grab a bite to eat. Take in the rolling hills filled with cows and goats grazing on fresh, green grasses. Let’s just say it is pure bliss!
Check out their website for more info by clicking the link below. Have a great time and be sure to comment below if you go to the waterfalls. Feel free to ask anything and I will reply when I have time and internet. I would love to hear about your experience! Let the manifesting begin!
